With a total of eight student housing properties in its portfolio, WestPac Campus Communities is the largest owner and operator of student housing beds in the Michigan State University market (3,390 beds) and also has a strong presence in the Cal Poly market in San Luis Obispo, CA (480 beds). With nearly 4000 beds under its ownership and management, WestPac had clearly defined objectives: To decrease rental delinquencies; save time and money through a reduction of paper check processing; and acquire a streamlined online payment system to seamlessly interface with Yardi Voyager, its property management software. To do it, WestPac needed a plan to capture resident interest and motivate them to adopt online rental payment.
